Phoebe English Spring Summer 2017

During  the hustle and bustle of London Fashion Week, between traffic, parties, and the noise of theatre-like runway shows, Phoebe English presented an understated and refined collection worthy of praise not because of the abundance of material apparel, but because of its emotional appeal. English displayed 7 characters performing 7 actions and experiences, across 7 days. The 7 characters include; The Archer, The Water Bearer, The Enquirer, The Smuggler, The Chanter, The Strangler and The Mourner. The mourner was like a living oil painting touching the hearts of all who saw her. The presentation was a pleasant reminder that fashion too can be an escape, a "breather" and a reflection not only of society, but of our inner most selves.
