Dr. Nina Van Volkinburg is an educator, artist, and founder dedicated to the philosophy of seeing the magic in the everyday. With a background as an ethnographer and a career rooted in exploring digital disruption, identity, and belonging within the global fashion industry, her work sits at the intersection of art, pedagogy, and social impact.

Nina is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Certified Management & Business Educator, and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Art, Design, and Communication. She currently leads the MA Strategic Fashion Marketing course at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London, where she has mentored hundreds of emerging creatives from around the world.

Her thought leadership and research have been featured in Vogue, Elle, and BBC World News, particularly for her contributions to fashion and sustainability.

As the founder and illustrator of the creative studio Ida & Ink, Nina is now expanding her creative practice into storytelling, children’s publishing, and visual worlds designed to inspire joy, a love of learning, and connection for both children and adults.
