Dr. Nina Van Volkinburg is a fashion ethnographer, educator, and writer exploring how fashion shapes, and is shaped by, culture. As The Fashionographer, she examines the tensions, behaviours, and shifting systems that define the fashion industry today.
Her work blends cultural understanding with industry insight, making the complexities of fashion easy to grasp and engaging to explore. Nina’s analysis has been featured in Vogue, Elle, BBC World News, and other global outlets.
A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Certified Management & Business Educator, Nina also leads the MA Strategic Fashion Marketing programme at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London.
She has mentored hundreds of emerging creatives and strategists, bringing an ethnographic lens to the next generation of fashion leaders.
