Phillip Treacy way spot on when stating “how a hat makes you feel is what a hat is all about”- especially when that hat is designed by the master himself, Mr. Karl Lagerfeld. The newly unveiled Spring 2015 Lagerfeld capsule collection for Maison Michel encourages you to feel the spirit of the Chanel girl- a girl who is walks to her own drum, can get ready for her day in 5 minutes and still look stunning, laughs whole heartedly, listens to bands you haven't even heard of yet, and walks down the street with that feminine and rock and roll stride, always looking forward, and always looking effortlessly chic.

For this collection Lagerfeld was inspired by real-life Chanel girls, being: Karlie, Cara, Poppy, Kendall, and Anja, as their unique perspective on life and colorful personalities can be represented visually, through veils of silk lace and luxurious satin ribbon, to natural straw and black felt. The model personalities are combined with Maison Michel’s aesthetic code of elegance and minimalism, which results in a modern, fresh approach to baseball caps, peaked officer's caps and wide-brimmed sun hats. August Michel who founded the iconic millinery house in 1936 is smiling down from the heavens.

Once the collection debuts in February, you are invited to join models (here Nadja Bender and Jamie Bochert) in the selfie bonanza with most anticipated “must have item” of Spring, under the hashtag #maisonmichelbykarllagerfeld. See you on Instagram!
